2013 Picnic

At this year's "Celebration of Collaboration" the BCF members were impressed and thankful to be joined by Sami Roth who is the reigning Jr. Teen Miss Butler County.  As one of her many service projects, for her birthday this year, instead of presents for herself she asked that her friends bring paper products.  Sami attended the picnic and brought a large donation of paper products for the Butler County Paper Pantry and Beyond (a mini-grant project through the BCF)  Sami's maturity and generosity were recognized!

Sami (Samantha) Roth is in 7th grade at Butler Jr. High where she is an honor's student and a BJHS Cheerleader.  She is also active in theater, plays piano, plays basketball, and takes dance.  She is a member of Hill UP Church Youth Chorale which is a select group of singers that perform and do mission work not only in the Butler Community but have traveled to San Francisco, New York City, Disney and this year to Niagara Falls.
Sami has done many pageants (about 30) and has won over 20 crowns.  Her most memorable have been Jr. Miss Saxonburg, Jr. Miss Riverfest, Pennsylvania Cinderella Ambassador and Miss Talent, Paris Dreams National Queen and currently Jr. Teen Miss Butler County 2012.  Sami will be in the finals for Jr. Teen Miss Pittsburgh on September 23.  Sami's platform for her pageants is BUlliesOut which is an international Antibullying campaign stationed out of Wales.  Sami believes that it is not the crown the makes you the princess but what you do with the crown.  Therefore she has done such things as  performed at nursing homes, Relay for Life, wrapped presents for Habitat for Humanity, and donated paper products to the Butler Paper Pantry.
